Description:

The ideal candidate for the Workshop Supervisor position will be responsible to supervise QER main workshop operations as well as manage and lead a team of technical people in allocating workload and managing the day-to-day operations to drive workshop performance. It requires to coordinate with different departments and Fix It Right process is followed to ensure that the equipment are delivered on time in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities:

• Daily duties may include the following activities:
• Maintaining good shop floor efficiency for quick & timely equipment delivery and good repair quality.
• Ensuring Technicians’ optimum utilization, productivity and efficiency.
• Ensuring proper job distribution, control and follow-up so that work is done correctly and as per schedule.
• Ensuring quality work for enhanced customer satisfaction and retention by minimizing, Repeat jobs hence increasing total workshop efficiency.
• Training / coaching to improve the ability of the team members and their efficiency.
• Carrying out inspection before commencing job to confirm the complaints and readiness
• Inspection later to confirm effectiveness of repair.
• Pre-delivery inspections for equipment going on hire.
• Inspection of off hired equipment in accordance with delivery checklist.
• Ensuring strict implementation of company rules, regulations and procedures (including warranty) within company policies

Qualifications:

• Managed and lead a team of 15-20 Technicians in allocating their workload.
• Monitor and improve workshop KPI’s and efficiency.
• Ability to write technical reports.
• Able to identify parts of heavy equipment from manuals, SIS and different sources.
• At least 5 years’ recent experience in the automotive/heavy equipment dealership as Workshop Supervisor, Controller or Foreman with valid UAE Driving license
