Placement Overview:

As a pivotal senior management team member, the Vice President of Finance will oversee our client’s financial integrity and strategic financial planning. This role involves leading capital and operating budgets, managing financial affairs, forecasting, and developing control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to define financial strategy and business plans. Influence strategic initiatives and operations.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Manage cash flow, capital, audits, and budget reports, including monthly P&L by division, forecasts, and working capital.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, maintaining robust control systems.
• Compliance: Guarantee legal/regulatory adherence and proper record-keeping for audit and government requirements.
• Reporting: Communicate financial outcomes to the board and provide expert advice on the company’s economic and business matters.

Candidate Profile:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with a strong foundation in Accounting.
• Minimum 15 years of financial and management experience within a minimum 500-employee organisation.
• Prior experience in luxury retail or similar industries is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are desirable.
• Proficient in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
