Required

  • 2+ years’ experience to include knowledge and application of web development and/or design methodologies and practices, web page layout, typography and graphic design skills.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing and implementing user friendly digital experiences websites in the healthcare industry utilizing Digital Experience Platforms (DXP).
  • Proven experience working with both UX agencies and with development scrum teams.
  • Ability to analyze business and consumer needs and identify applications needed to improve workflows and efficiencies and effectively develop and present business proposals and implement projects that improve the user experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, database applications, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and work comfortably alone and as part of a team, sharp focus on the user perspective in developing websites, excellent customer service skills, possess initiative, be a self-starter, and exhibit creativity.
  • Knowledge of website content management tools.

This professional serves as a primary voice of the User Experience in Magellan’s ongoing digital transformation. Designs, develops, and manages Magellan’s digital presence and properties with the goal of making it easy for our members, providers and customers to engage with Magellan. Builds and maintains the guidelines and standards for Magellan’s User Experience. In partnership with business owners and agency support, develops consumer experiences, including – defining the design, information architecture, content, and supporting usability testing and user research. Additionally telling the story of our digital strategy and roadmap through visual presentations and videos.

  • Supports digital experience and application development, testing, and optimization/management.
  • Designs and develops graphics, web applications, web pages, small web sites, and multimedia elements for the websites.
  • Determines the layout and navigation of a site and working with business owners to create design prototypes for web pages, applications and other Internet elements.
  • Ensures user experience consistency, and enables scaling throughout the Magellan experience ecosystem through management of the design library.
  • Provides direction into the build-out of a UX practice with the organization.
  • Keeps informed of technology trends and innovations.
  • Stays abreast of industry news and trends including HIPAA and e-ethics and how they relate to website transactions and content.
  • Supports account implementations and enhancements for websites.
  • Supports and assists development efforts with other developers/ designers and manages multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Works with account representatives, operations staff and representatives from clinical, legal and operations to develop and maintain website content and other features and functions.
  • May provide sales and marketing support (subject matter expertise, demos, proposals).
  • Conducts small and medium usability activities and communicates findings to development teams that improve the usability of the website and web applications
  • Conducts information architecture initiatives to organize website content and development effective navigation classifications.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
