Role: Telecom Supervisor
- Contract: 1 Sep 2023 – 31st December 2023 (4 Months)
- Salary: AED 16,000

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Broad understanding of the process and the Telecom/ICT infrastructure needed to support the smooth running of delivery operations.
- Overall responsibility for planning and delivering Telecom/ICT infrastructure service, including hardware, software, and material.
- Manage the implementation and operation of the Telecom/ICT infrastructure, Internet & equipment.
- Manage the technicians’ tasks; coordinate the implementation activities.
- Liaise with the clients for time-to-time requirements updates.
- Experience in Structured Cabling Systems (Fiber + Copper).
- Experience and Hand-on skillset on testing Equipment (Fluke, OTDR, etc.).
- Good knowledge of ISP standards (FTTH, GPON, ADSL, ISDN, etc.).
- Good Knowledge of current industry standards (ANSI/TIA/EIA-568, ISO/EIC).
- Good understanding of Network Equipment, Network Design, and OSI Layers.
- Hardware installation and support: PCs, LAN printers, badge printers, DVD burners.
- Provide 24×7 coverage on an on-call basis during on-site emergencies.
- Experience working and managing under pressure situations and environments, to meet deadlines.
- Proactive and corrective maintenance of the telecom equipment and infrastructure.
- Assist with internal communications, including creating and sending MoM memos, newsletters, and emails.
- Understand and follow the incident response process through event escalations.
- Able to prioritize responsibilities and adhere to deadlines.
- Familiar with computer software programs such as word processors, spreadsheet programs, and database systems.
- Manager to staff or engage service providers; coordinate the implementation activities, particularly.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
- Monitor project progress and report any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact on-site and communicate project status to all participants.
- Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met by conducting quality assurance tests.
