About the Role

The Technical Writer will understand software products and write documentation and online help to educate users on how to work with the products. The writer will present highly complex functionality in simple and well-structured documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective documentation and online help.
• Understand products to become a subject matter expert.
• Present complex functionality in simple terms, explaining features through documentation that is rich in examples and scenarios.
• Work with strict timelines while producing high-quality documentation.
• Produce online help and user guides from a single source.

Skills and Experience

• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be passionate about the English language, and must have an eye for detail.
• Education and demonstrable experience in technical writing.
• At a minimum, must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, or in English, Communications or a related field.
• Demonstrable proficiency in tools used for technical writing; experience with MadCap Flare will be a plus.
• Minimum of two years of experience in technical writing.
