Hiring System Engineer – Server & Storage (5 Years Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Server Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Monitor server performance to ensure optimal availability and reliability
• Implement regular system updates, patches and upgrades
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls

Storage Management:

• Deploy and manage enterprise-level storage solutions, including SAN and NAS
• Monitor storage capacity and performance, implement necessary improvements
• Perform data backups and recovery operations

Troubleshooting & Support:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network-related issues
• Perform thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Provide technical support to internal teams, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain and update comprehensive documentation for server and storage configurations
• Review and revise operational procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency
• Generate detailed reports on system performance, incidents and resolutions

Requirements:

• 5 years of proven experience as System Engineer, specifically in server and storage management
• Experience with databases, networks and patch management
• Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux server environments
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems and data management
• Knowledge of system security, data backup, and disaster recovery solutions
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and system maintenance

Certifications (preferable):

• Microsoft Certified Windows Server
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

Education:

• BSc Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
