Role Overview:
As a supply chain administrator at Medfoods, you will play a role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain within the Middle East and Africa region. Collaborating closely with the Supply Chain Head, you will be responsible for managing administrative tasks and organizing various aspects of our import and export processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Head to plan, coordinate, and execute import and export activities across the Middle East and Africa region.
- Maintain a deep understanding of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements for the countries in scope.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to resolve any logistical challenges.
- Handle administrative tasks related to procurement, shipping, and inventory management.
- Utilize technology and software tools to track shipments, monitor inventory, and streamline processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited university.
- Proven experience in import/export operations within the Middle East and Africa, with a comprehensive understanding of regional trade regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage complex logistical processes.
- Proficient in using software tools and systems to track shipments and manage inventory.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address logistical challenges effectively.
- Prior experience in a supply chain or logistics role is advantageous.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages relevant to the region is a plus.
