Description:

We are currently recruiting a Stewarding Shift Leader.

The preferred candidate must be in UAE. 

You’re Day To Day:

  • To check breakfast, lunch and dinner set-up in the restaurants.
  • To check the supply of all outlets and production areas with clean and correct mis-en-place in a timely manner.
  • To ensure that dishwashing machines, pot washing area and kitchen areas are clean and maintained up to the required standards.
  • To check the buffet set-up of breakfast, lunch, dinner, theme nights, brunch setups and banquet parties.
  • To ensure safe and correct use of stewarding equipment such as dishwashing machines, glass washing machines, floor cleaning machines, and silver burnishes.
  • To ensure the cleanliness of operational equipment including cutlery, crockery, silverware, copperware, pots, pans and kitchen utensils to the required standard.
  • To remove buffet set-up of theme nights and banquet functions without any disturbance to the guests.
  • To ensure that all filters, hoods, ovens and kitchen floors are cleaned to the required standards at regular intervals.
  • To make requisitions regularly according to requirement.
  • To make sure that Banquet function sheet to be prepare and highlighted all the information from Chef and operation to arrange them accordingly. 
  • To ensure the arrangements and cleanliness of all stewarding stores.
  • To maintain the logbook.
  • Conducts quarterly stock taking inventory of all operating equipment in the hotel in conjunction with accounts department.
  • To deputize for your Asst. Chief Steward in his absence.
  • To monitor and guiding the 03rd party casual staffs to get their best on great guest experience, maintaining HACCP.
  • To handle staff grievance and disciplinary matters to the agreed hotel standard.
  • To carry out any reasonable tasks requested by the Executive Chef / Management.

Requirements:

  • In order to be considered for this role you should hold a recognized hotel diploma and at least 1 year experience working in the same position within a 5* hotel.
  • It is also essential that you have a good command of the English language (verbal and written) and knowledge. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Should have certification in Essential Food Safety Training (EFST) issued by the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA).
