In this role, you will process student accounts/accounts receivables for various study abroad programs while delivering quality customer service to each student, parent, and sending institution. Additionally, you will assist with accounts payable functions and various other central office accounting functions. This position works closely with all members of the Financ e team, as well as Marketing and IT.

In This Position, Your r Esponsibilities Would Include

  • Responsible for customer invoicing, cash application, cash collections and management of accounts receivable.
  • Provide advice and direction to the Student Engagement Team on handling student financ ial related issues.
  • Complete consortium/contractual agreements. Interpret contracts with home schools in order to maintain direct billing school information
  • Place delinquent accounts on financ ial hold and send to our attorney for collection, if necessary.
  • Calculate refunds for early withdrawals and refund overpayments at program completion.
  • Assist the Scholarship Coordinator to aid in the award process. Post awarded scholarship credits to the student accounts.
  • Manage upfront loan application, approval and disbursements
  • Provide direction to students, parents and home institutions who have questions regarding program costs, financ ial aid, scholarships, etc.
  • Maintain information tuition and housing payments, refunds, supplemental charges and change of student status.
  • Pay vendor invoices and approved travel advances
  • Process employee travel expenses, request employee credit cards, and maintain Concur Travel and Expense system.
  • Process general ledger entries, reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with other financ ial anal ysis, financ ial audits and accounting work and other duties and projects, as assigned

Requirements, Work Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financ e or equivalent work experience
  • Strong Excel skills are required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders from diverse communities and cultures
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Existing work authorization for and physically reside in the USA
