We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team within the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in managing daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support the maintenance of robust internal control systems and assist during audits.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to guarantee accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for streamlining financial processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Communicate financial insights and findings to the management team.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and assist with forecasting.

Required Skills

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience with a strong focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).
  • Experience with accounting software, including Intacct, Oracle PeopleSoft, and ADP is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred; equivalent experience in the accounting field is acceptable.
  • Previous experience in a corporate or hospitality environment is favored.
