Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef with a strong background in steakhouses. As the second in command in kitchen department, you will play a crucial role in managing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and assisting in menu engineering and costing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Director of culinary and beverage.
- Ensure consistency and quality of all kitchens.
- Assist in menu development and costing to maximize profitability.
- Train and mentor our future hero’s kitchen chefs.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the director of culinary on inventory management and ordering.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in four to five star hotels
- Strong knowledge of steak cuts, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Expertise in menu engineering and food costing.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
