Join Our Company as a Senior Urban Planner required in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Senior Urban Planner role located in Abu Dhabi. Responsible for developing sustainable Urban Design, and concerning the arrangement, appearance and functionality of towns and cities (urban settlement), and in particular the shaping and uses of urban public space. Contributing to final Master Planning documents and Development Control Regulations, considering environmental, social, and economical sustainability in addition to accounting for human scale and human behavior
Experience
- Minimum 15 years overall experience including at least 8 years in large scale projects on the levels of regional and urban development.
- Have a good knowledge of urban design legislations and a good understanding of property law.
- Strong understanding of sustainable development and the triple bottom-line of sustainability: environmental, social, and economical.
- Have a good knowledge of environmental international laws and regulations as well as local standards in the UAE.
- Has strong leadership skills, and the ability to coach and develop a team.
- Strong cross disciplinary knowledge to be able to communicate design output, and collect required input from several stake holders.
- Previous experience in UAE is preferred.
Education
- Bachelors’ degree in Urban Design, Architecture or Urban Planning from a recognized university, other majors maybe related to environmental planning, transportation planning, are a good asset.
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning is preferred
