Senior QS/Estimator for Fitout & Joinery works:

Location: DUBAI

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: AED 7,000.00 – AED 9,000.00 per month

Job Responsibilities:

1. Cost Estimation and Planning:

• Preparing initial cost estimates and budgets.
• Providing cost advice and feasibility studies.
• Developing detailed cost plans to maintain control over the project budget.

2. Contract Administration:

• Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
• Analyzing and evaluating tenders from contractors.
• Negotiating contract terms and managing contractual relationships.

3. Cost Control and Monitoring:

• Monitoring project costs to ensure they are within the agreed budget.
• Managing changes to the project scope, assessing cost impacts.
• Conducting cost value reconciliation and producing regular financial reports.

4. Risk Management:

• Identifying and managing potential financial and construction risks.
• Advising on risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and industry regulations.

5. Procurement Advice:

• Advising on procurement strategies and methods.
• Overseeing procurement processes to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials and services.

6. Valuation and Payments:

• Valuing completed work and arranging for payments to contractors and suppliers.
• Preparing interim and final payment claims.

7. Legal and Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensuring all project activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Advising on legal and contractual issues, including disputes and claims.

8. Reporting and Documentation:

• Preparing detailed reports for stakeholders, including clients and financiers.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and project documentation.

9. Project Coordination:

• Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinating with project managers to align financial planning with project schedules.

10. Post-Project Analysis:

• Conducting post-completion audits to assess the financial performance of the project.
• Providing insights and recommendations for future projects based on lessons learned.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in the interior design, Fit-out, and joinery industry in the UAE (mainly for retail, residential, and F & B projects).
• Knowledge of local market rates and suppliers would be advantageous.
• Good Coordination and Organization Skills.
• Teamwork and Team management.
• Able to join immediately.
• A driving license is a plus.
