Description:

Looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist (Fresh fruits and vegetable products).

Key Accountabilities

• Dealing with Fresh Fruits and Vegetable suppliers.
• Responsible for sourcing fresh produce as per the Sales and Warehouse requirements.
• Preparation of landed cost and price analysis of various items.
• Maintains desired profit margins according to respective customer rebate structures.
• Involved in searching for new items/suppliers and origins.
• Managing and leading the procurement team according to procurement plan (Local and Overseas).
• Design and develop Procurement plan for Freight fresh produce according to the management given targets.
• Maintain the relationship with vendors/suppliers.
• Achieved most favorable credit terms from vendors as per company-mentioned policies.
• Making the PO’s as per given requirements of Sales and making sure that timely submission of POs to suppliers according to their cut-off timeline.
• Coordinate with warehouse inbound team upon arrival of shipments and check quality standards of items with timely feedback to suppliers regards to quality and proceed for independent 3rd party quality surveys if needed.
• Maintaining contracts/reports for all sectors.
• Identify new suppliers, agree on terms and negotiate supply agreements, including discount structures and volume rebates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree.
• #Procurement sourcing, leadership skills, communication, and negotiation skills.
• 5 – 7 years of fresh fruits and vegetables in the #UAE market – senior level.
• Fully familiar with the fresh fruits and vegetable types and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Fluent English (Arabic language knowledge will be an advantage).
