Job Overview: The Senior Machines Maintenance Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, powder coating lines, compressors, and load banks. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading a team of maintenance professionals. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning:
- Develop and implement maintenance plans for factory machines and equipment.
- Schedule routine maintenance activities and track equipment performance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and optimize maintenance procedures.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of factory machines and equipment.
- Conduct inspections, diagnose faults, and coordinate repairs with technicians and external service providers.
- Ensure equipment availability and reliability to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Establish maintenance schedules, conduct regular inspections, and perform necessary servicing and replacements.
- Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to anticipate and address potential issues before they escalate.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine and equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Analyse root causes, recommend appropriate repair solutions, and coordinate repairs to restore functionality promptly.
- Utilize technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Spare Parts Management:
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and consumables required for maintenance.
- Assess stock levels, coordinate procurement, and optimize inventory to ensure the availability of critical parts while minimizing costs.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs.
- Generate reports on maintenance activities and costs.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance procedures and documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Document each maintenance and repair action in the equipment’s history file.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electro/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in machinery maintenance, with specific expertise in CNC machines, powder coating lines, compressors, and load banks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow machine manufacturers’ maintenance guidelines
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
