Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

Location: Dubai, U.A.E

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and results-driven Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, SQL, and Python (preferably with Django framework), along with strong analytical thinking and data storytelling skills. Experience in FMCG, retail, logistics, supply chain, and finance is highly desirable. Knowledge of ERP systems and familiarity with platforms like Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Write advanced DAX and Power Query (M) code to build scalable and efficient data models.
• Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources using SQL and Python.
• Build and manage Django-based web applications for data access and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, supply chain, sales, factory) to gather business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Leverage forecasting models and machine learning techniques for trend prediction and strategic insights.
• Deliver data visualizations and analysis in a clear, business-friendly format for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure data governance, security, and quality standards are consistently followed.
• Continuously evaluae and implement new tools or technologies that enhance analytics capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Power BI development (data modeling, report publishing, security setup).
• Strong knowledge of Power Query (M) and DAX for calculations and custom metrics.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying, joins, and performance optimization.
• Proficient in Python, especially with Django for data services or API-driven solutions.
• Strong understanding of data analytics, business intelligence, and data storytelling.
• Exposure to AI/ML models (e.g., forecasting, clustering, anomaly detection).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to bridge technical and business teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, or Statistics.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics / SAP / Oracle).
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Django ORM, and integrations with third-party systems.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes/tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong domain knowledge in FMCG, finance, retail, logistics, or supply chain analytics.
• Comfort working in agile environments using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with forecasting techniques like ARIMA, Prophet, or machine learning time-series models.
