Hiring Senior Application Portfolio Management Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT consulting, application management, or portfolio optimization.
• Proven track record in application portfolio rationalization, including successful project delivery.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar for portfolio management.
• Certifications in ITIL, TOGAF, or related frameworks are a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of existing applications, considering factors such as business value, technical debt, cost, and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and leadership to define application roadmaps and prioritize initiatives.
• Develop strategies for application rationalization, including retirement, consolidation, or modernization.
• Create business cases for portfolio changes, emphasizing ROI, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional teams in executing portfolio rationalization initiatives.
• Monitor and report on progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Provide guidance on technology trends, best practices, and emerging solutions.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of portfolio changes.
