Job Summary

Pets Best is seeking a Sr. Accounting Assistant who will provide a broad range of support to include, but not limited to sales, billing, and/or accounting functions.

Job Location: Remote

Main Responsibilities

  • Creates invoices in general ledger (GL) and verifies GL codes used.
  • Tracks receivable and/or payable activities.
  • Assists in preparation of financial packages.
  • Resolves and tracks financial queries regarding customer accounts.
  • Collects payments for revenue streams.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives.
  • May be responsible for booking receivables and/or payables and maintain checklists.
  • Manages banking administration/access.
  • Produces compliance documents based on accounting data.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience (1 year of working experience equals one year of working experience)
  • Accounts Payable Experience – Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment scheduling
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong Communication Skills – Ability to communicate financial information clearly and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • D365 Experience – Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for financial transactions and reporting
  • SKsoft Experience – Familiarity with SKsoft financial tools or similar accounting software
  • Insurance Industry experience
