Description:

We are currently hiring a Senior Accountant for one of our clients a building material trading Company specialized in Wood based in UAE.

Job Location: Dubai

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree preferred)
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the building material or construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contracts and payroll
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management for informed decision-making
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies
• Oversee internal controls and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audits and tax filings
• Mentor and guide sales team staff, providing training and support as needed
• Stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and best practices in financial management
