Description:

A leading luxury clothing brand in Dubai is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Sr. Accountant’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, handling payroll, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Posting all entries relating to sales, purchases, all payments from customers
• Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
• Prepare budget and financial forecasts
• Publish financial statements in time
• Collect, analyze and summarize account information
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc.
• Develop periodic reports for management
• Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions and banking requirements.
• Preparation and passing of monthly closing entries and Finalization of Accounts as per IFRS.
• Responsible for Working Capital management, Bank reconciliations, Credit Card, Cash reconciliation, Debtor’s reconciliation etc.
• Preparing stock reports, aging reports, GP analysis reports, etc.
• Execution of Letter of Credit, Execution of TR Documents, Preparing Shipping Guarantees etc., and their follow ups.
• Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
• Handle monthly payroll processing.
• Coordinate and work with Auditor at the time of Audits.
• VAT preparation and online filing
• Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
• Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accounts either CPA or Inter CA only need apply
• Experience in retail / clothing/ luxury brand industry is mandatory with excellent communication skills.
• All accounting measure up to finalization, including depreciation run, amortization run, payroll, VAT filing, balance sheet preparation, bank reconciliation, cash flow management is crucial, P&L accounting & budgeting.
