SAP Administrator – Remote USA
We are seeking an experienced SAP Administrator with a strong background in managing SAP systems and ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). The ideal candidate will also hold relevant SAP certifications, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to excellence in SAP system administration. This role involves maintaining the integrity, availability, and security of SAP environments while aligning with US SOX compliance standards. In addition to managing the day-to-day administration activities, this candidate will also create, update, and manage documentation for critical operations and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including modules such as ECC, S/4HANA, CRM, and SAP Basis
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with US SOX regulations
- Manage user roles, permissions, and security settings aligned with SOX compliance guidelines
- Prepare and provide documentation for SOX audits, collaborating with auditors to meet compliance requirements
- Monitor SAP system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system efficiency
- Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, patches, and feature implementations with minimal downtime
- Develop and manage disaster recovery plans and high-availability systems for critical SAP environments
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, compliance measures, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and audit, to align SAP solutions with organizational goals
- Provide training and technical support to end-users and internal teams
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience as an SAP Administrator with a focus on SOX compliance
- Expertise in SAP modules (e.g. MM, PP, FI, CO), including ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP Basis
- Strong knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and its implications for IT systems
- Proven ability to manage system audits and compliance reporting
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred
- SAP Certifications (1 or more)
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP S/4HANA System Administration (C_TADM55_75)
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA 2.0 (C_HANATEC_17)
- SAP Certified Technology Specialist – SAP S/4HANA Conversion and SAP System Upgrade (E_S4HCON2022)
- SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Fiori System Administration (C_FIORADM_21)
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP Solution Manager (C_SM100_7210)
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or related SOX compliance certifications
- Familiarity with cybersecurity measures related to financial data protection
- Experience in project management and system migration
- Knowledge of industry best practices for SAP system administration
