About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation, contract management, and budget control for interior fit-out projects. This role requires expertise in evaluating tender documents, sourcing competitive pricing, and ensuring cost efficiency throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for interior fit-out projects.
- Tender & Contract Review: Evaluate tender documents, contracts, and project specifications to assess costs and risks.
- BOQ & Quantity Take-Offs: Conduct material take-offs and quantity measurements from drawings and specifications.
- Procurement & Negotiation: Source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive prices.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they remain within budget.
- Payment Applications: Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications for clients and subcontractors.
- Variation & Claims Management: Assess variations and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
- Dispute Resolution: Assist in the preparation of contractual claims and dispute resolutions.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, designers, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records and reports for auditing and financial tracking.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of UAE experience in quantity surveying within the interior fit-out industry (Mandatory).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract management, cost control, and procurement.
- Regulations & Contracts: Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and UAE construction regulations.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, or similar tools).
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
