Hiring QC Manager role with one of our chocolate manufacturing company located in Dubai (Al Quoz).

Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall responsibility for establishing, implementing and monitoring the quality control systems.
  • Track and record information relating to QC, and ensure any reporting staff are following and using the established systems appropriately.
  • Create quality control self-check paperwork systems, to ensure all production staff are following a check list system during the recipe prep and manufacturing process.
  • Ensure that implementation and ongoing management of Quality Assurance and government required protocols is being carefully done by reporting team and production team, such as HACCP and Dubai Municipality regulations.
  • Establishing QC standards for raw materials and products manufactured.
  • Legal & Contractual requirements of Key Accounts/Major clients and their tenders
  • Assess quality of incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Some tests may include particle size, viscosity, fat content, moisture content, free fatty acids, shelf life, flavour and colour.
  • Critical reporting & Monitoring of the RM & FG near expiring products from the Inventory management.
  • Monitoring all electronic equipment for weight, temperature and other equipment.
  • Conduct analytical testing of product and raw materials, to ensure they meet agreed quality standards.
  • Verify and document proper allergen cleanup between batches.
  • Hold and investigate non-conforming materials.
  • Retain samples from batches, recording data regarding the QC elements.
  • Assist in training new technicians as required.
  • HACCP PIC Level 3
  • Ability to confidently lead the quality management team, and work with other senior production staff to ensure compliance.
  • Fluent in English – other languages well regarded.
  • Confident manner and well presented.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading quality control systems in a food manufacturing business, in chocolate – highly regarded.
  • Flexible working hours, sometimes involving weekend work, working approx. 40-45 hours per week.
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy periods as well as on your own imitative.
  • Knowledge of chocolate products well regarded.
