We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our Dubai Team.

If you have a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, with 3 – 4 years experience in Purchasing & Logistics within the Elevator, Construction and Building Materials industries, customer oriented, have strong skills in influencing and negotiating, then we look forward to receiving your resume!

Summary:

The incumbent in this role is responsible for ensuring that a business is able to acquire needed supplies, materials and other relevant items, following a budget and keeping records of all the transactions.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Identify suppliers of goods and services
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
  • Create purchase orders and tally these with requests
  • Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and delivery of goods/services
  • Work closely with the projects team to understand their requirements
  • Knowledge of Category Management
  • Keep track of delivered orders and monitor timely GR postings
  • Assist projects team in planning future projects needs
  • Assist in executing complex projects
  • Identify saving initiatives
  • Follow company Procurement & Compliance policies and processes
  • Able to work in multi-tasking environment
  • Able to work with minimum supervision however keeps Procurement Manager posted on important and urgent projects

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.
  • Proven experience of 3 years as a purchasing specialist or in a similar role.
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies, terms & conditions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Process & compliance driven
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience in using SAP or any other ERP systems
  • Knowledge of e-auctions, would be an advantage #jobs
