Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process for our group of clinics, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality medical supplies, equipment, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and budgetary constraints.
• Manage the entire procurement cycle, including needs analysis, vendor identification and selection, contract negotiation, order processing, and inventory management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, timely delivery, and excellent customer service.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
• Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and emerging trends in the healthcare industry.
• Oversee the inventory management process, ensuring optimal stock levels, minimizing waste, and maximizing the utilization of resources.
• Monitor and track procurement expenditures, analyze spending trends, and prepare regular reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Supervise and mentor a team of procurement specialists (if applicable).
• Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and clinical teams, to ensure smooth and efficient procurement processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CISCM, CISCP.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a healthcare setting (hospital, clinic, or medical device company) is preferred.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and inventory control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in using procurement software (e.g., ERP systems, e-procurement platforms).
• Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
