Description:
We are looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to join our growing family and contribute to our growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Researching and identifying prospective suppliers:
- Specialist who possesses strong knowledge with different suppliers and their products, prices, and quality.
- Maintaining inventory storage space in the store’s warehouse, planning store warehouse space usage
- Organized personnel who can maintain the warehouse is an organized and clean manner following hygiene and First in First out procedures
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria, evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures
- Having good anticipation skills with enough stock level to supply the demand of all branches
- Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions Demonstrates strong communication skills with different suppliers in timely manner
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns, negotiate and coordinate with outside vendors/suppliers
- Well prepared with alternative suppliers and different purchasing options supplying the needed goods.
- Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items
- Following Dubai Municipality and company guidelines for receiving different types of goods
- Coordinating with person in charge of each branch with the needed stock and inventory level and delivery schedule
- Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records, maintains relevant papers and paperwork; prepares standard reports for management approval
- Keeps the inventory log always updated for efficiency and readiness
- Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, perform other duties as required by supervision management
- Always flexible handling other required tasks as requested by superiors
Required skills and competencies:
- Having a strong organizational skill
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting
- Ability to use computers and data entry systems
- Strong math proficiency
- Strong communication skills
