Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Purchase Officer for City University, Ajman. The person must be a male candidate, with minimum 2 years of experience in procurement in any industry.
• Duties and responsibilities:
• The qualified purchase Officers have to be competent in his responsibility for negotiating with suppliers and sellers of the assorted products and services that the organization needs. He also need to coordinate the logistics team of having them delivered and paid for. His duties include the following:
• Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses
• Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their quality
• Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests
• Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company
• Coordinating with other required agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
• Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in any subject from an accredited university.
• Excellent understanding of the vendor sourcing procedure and management software knowledge.
• Proven negotiating skills and the ability to recognize the market trends.
• Strong communication skills.
