Hiring Projects Commercial Manager – Role Available
We are seeking a qualified Projects Commercial Manager to join the Summertown Projects Team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have a University Degree in Business or Accounting, and a minimum 10 years’ experience out of which 3 years in the design and interior fit out industry. They will also require knowledge/experience of JAFZA regulations, UAE laws and local customs and business practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee and manage daily tasks of Procurement and PQS
- Manage project related costs
- Ensure all suppliers are pre-qualified as per the Quality Management System requirements and Sustainable Purchasing Guidelines.
- Develop, establish, and monitor best purchase practices to ensure optimum price and on time delivery
- Ensure all businesses are conducted in an honest and ethical manner
- Negotiate final prices with supply chain, whenever required
- Establish and maintain positive working relationship with suppliers and sub-contractors to improve quality, productivity, and communication
- Source new Contractors and/or Suppliers on a need-to-need basis
- Preparation, monitoring, periodically updating and presenting project financial health report to management monthly basis
- Preparation of the payment forecast for the project
- Preparation and updating of Project Cash flow (inward and outward)
- Manage activities such as manpower planning, recruitment, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits and employee relations.
- Set goals for the department based on the business plan.
- Coach, mentor and motivate Procurement and PQS team members.
- Source new Contractors and/or Suppliers on a need-to-need basis
