Job Description:
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Identify reliable suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions for procurement agreements.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness; implement corrective actions as necessary.
Procurement Operations: Oversee the procurement process from requisition to receipt of goods or services, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Review purchase orders and contracts to verify accuracy, specifications, and delivery requirements.
Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement expenditures within budgetary constraints. Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in procurement practices.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including departments such as finance, operations, and legal, to understand their procurement needs and priorities. Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and optimize procurement processes.
Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to streamline procurement operations and enhance efficiency. Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to make informed procurement decisions.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the procurement team.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating strategic sourcing and supplier management skills.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations, ethical standards, and risk management practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
