Job Title: Price Control Senior Economist – Efficiency & Performance

Job Purpose:
The Price Control Senior Economist – Efficiency & Performance is in charge of assisting the Price Control Section Head in the development of a robust and modern price control for the energy sector, which includes electricity, water, recycled water, and wastewater.
In close collaboration with the organizations technical directorates and licensees, the Price Control Senior Economist – Efficiency & Performance is responsible for managing the development of a robust incentive framework for the monopoly distribution and transmission businesses of electricity, water, and wastewater licensees in the sector, covering (among other things) quality of supply, network security and reliability, quality of information, asset management, and end use efficiency.
The work of the Price Control Senior Economist – Efficiency & Performance will primarily involve collaborative work with organization’s staff in technical directorates to ensure that the work plans of the other directorates are fully coordinated with the work on price controls and that the incentive framework evolves over time, as well as negotiating the provision of high-quality information from the companies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or relevant discipline
- Master’s Degree in Economics is preferred
