Responsibilities
Due to a significant increase in demand for our services, we urgently need to grow our team. The Payment Officer, reporting to their Supervisor and working in tandem with our programmers/developers, will assume responsibility for creating, setting up and managing online payment tools, overseeing incoming escrow-related transactions into online payments account, ensure timely payouts to customers, managing customer payments, handling payment issues, and performing additional tasks as directed by the department head. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced remote work environment.
The objective is to ensure prompt and precise processing of incoming transactions. This involves the confirmation of online payments or managing and overseeing payment transactions, ensuring that all financial operations are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations and our internal service delivery benchmarks. To also ensure that the legal and regulatory requirements that dictate the timely and accurate handling of transactions are strictly complied to.
Key responsibilities
Processing Payments:
- Handling various types of payment transactions such as credit card payments, bank transfers, and digital payment solutions.
Compliance & Security:
- Ensuring that all transactions are in compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Customer Support:
- Providing assistance to customers regarding payment-related inquiries or issues.
Reconciliation:
- Ensuring that payments are reconciled and that any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Monitoring Systems:
- Monitoring and managing payment systems and platforms, ensuring smooth operation and quick resolution of technical issues.
