Hiring Payable Accountant

Location: Dubai, Al Quoz 1

Job Description: As a Payable Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. You will play a critical role in the company’s financial health by managing outgoing payments and assisting with financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor records and manage vendor communications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and authorization of purchases.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A recognized accounting certification (CA, CPA)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with import declarations and customs regulations.
  • Ability to manage and enter inventory data accurately
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle discrepancies on time
