Looking for Occupational Therapist

Job Overview:

The occupational therapist provides the patient with the opportunity to improve, regain and develop the skills needed for daily life. The duties include performing initial patient assessment and coaching patient therapeutic activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Helping a patient to take part in every activity based on the unique circumstances
• Instruct and advise parents on an occupational therapy treatment plan
• Assessing the patient’s physical, communication, and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan
• Assessing the school and home environments of the patient and advice on alterations consistent with the needs and capabilities.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals

Skills & Qualifications

• BS Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
• Post-graduate qualifications in Neurodevelopmental Therapy and Sensory Integration advantageous
• Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, with a particular focus on the behavioral disorder
• Communicates and collaborates effectively
• DHA License not required but an advantage
• Maintain confidentiality about the family
