As a Network Engineer – L2 Resource, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Layer 2 technologies, including routing, switching, and basic security protocols. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routing and Switching: Design, configure, and troubleshoot Layer 2 network infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and optimal performance.
- Basic Security: Implement and maintain basic security measures, including firewall configurations, access controls, and intrusion detection systems, to safeguard the network infrastructure.
- Network Optimization: Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement network optimization strategies, ensuring efficient data flow and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, ensuring minimal impact on operations. Provide on-call support as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, developers, and IT support, to meet business objectives and project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Layer 2 networks.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies.
- Familiarity with basic security protocols, such as VPNs, firewalls, and access controls.
- Industry certifications, such as CCNA or equivalent, are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
