Description:

MongoDB Administrator Required – Abu Dhabi

• 7-8 years of experience as Databased administrator with specializations in MongoDB, MySQL, Redis and any of the databases MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Primarily responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MySQL instances. Should be able to orchestrate upgrades, backups, recovery and provisioning of database instances – MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
• Strong proficiency in MySQL database management. Good understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM.
• Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc. {{if required}}.
• At least 2 full life cycle implementations as well as strong Support & maintenance experience of MySQL, MongoDB or any open-source databases.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours as needed.
• Design, document, implement and maintain database components within MySQL and Mongo databases.
• Monitor systems and platforms providing 24/7 database availability. Backup, restore, clustering, replication, and failover processes, insure their operability.
• Provide analysis and solutions on issues regarding performance and security across multiple RDBMS platforms, including MySQL, MongoDB and MS SQL Server.
• Create, monitor and troubleshoot backup systems RDBMS platforms and associated environments and provide recovery services as needed.
• Undertake Performance Monitoring and Tunning, Problem resolution, Availability Management, Capacity Management, Change Management and Security access management to ensure the continuous provision of service of the database and integrated platform environments.
• Expert in installing and upgrading the MySQL, MongoDB and SQL Server database.
• Expert in modifying the database structure, as necessary in accordance with the business requirements.
• Proficient in MySQL, MongoDB and SQL Server Database Performance Management.
• Expert in allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements.
