Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser at AWG, you will play a vital role in creating an attractive and organized shopping environment for our customers. You should have a deep understanding of plants, sales, and merchandising techniques to ensure the success of our garden shop.
Responsibilities:
- Select, arrange, and maintain plant displays to ensure they are visually appealing and well-organized.
- Provide expert guidance and information to customers on plant selection, care, and gardening products.
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive sales and meet revenue targets.
- Keep inventory well-stocked and assist in ordering new products as needed.
- Monitor plant health and take necessary actions to maintain the quality of the merchandise.
- Participate in regular training to stay updated on plant care and new product offerings.
- Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor, including watering plants and sweeping as needed.
- Assist in seasonal promotions and special events at the garden shop.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a garden shop or similar retail environment.
- A strong passion for plants and horticulture.
- Knowledge of various types of plants, their care requirements, and their seasonal availability.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proven sales and merchandising experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Physical stamina for lifting and moving plants and garden supplies.
