Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant at the La Junta Outpatient Clinic, in La Junta, CO. This is a remote position.
Details
- Full Time
- Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- No nights, weekend or holidays
- Remote option available (must live in the state of Colorado)
Job Requirements
- Have a High School education or GED equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Type at least 50 WPM
- Basic medical terminology knowledge
- Minimum 6 months customer service experience
Core Duties
- Outpatient Scheduling and Process and Procedures.
- Front desk duties which may vary at each location depending on the clinic’s needs.
- Coordinates and authorizes Veteran care with community providers that the VA does not supply
- Works with Lead Scheduler to achieve all patient communications are completed on time
- Screens/receives phone calls in a courteous and timely manner.Â
- Responds to telephone inquiries regarding delivery of services.
- Daily computer use of Microsoft office products to include Excel, Word, Outlook &Microsoft Teams.
- Perform appointment scheduling, tracking, pre and post- appointments contacts as required
- Performs quality customer service for all patients; patient families; VA Staff, contractors, physicians, fellows, residents.
Compensation: $46,000 to $48,000/year.
