Description:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer who holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering. This exciting opportunity to learn and grow with us will involve the supervision of construction works ensuring that the site construction work is in accordance with the requirements of the contract. We have iconic projects with in the built environment in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

• Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinates application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
• Advise the project manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, quality and the like.
• Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works.
• Review construction submittals/shop drawings from project inception to close-out.
• Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
• Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the MEP services works for Contractor’s adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and health & safety.
• Provide advice to the Project Manager in regard to any mechanical services related variation costs that may be claimed by the Contractor during the course of the works.
• Follow-up with the contractor and support in coordinating with the utility authority regarding connections whenever required.
• Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current re vision level and correct technical execution of the work.
• Performs works inspection requests and material inspection requests as required
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering Certificate
• 4 to 5 years experience in Project Execution (GULF)
• Proficient in HVAC & Plumbing Systems
• General MEP knowledge
• AutoCAD skills
• W/ Driving License
