The Marketing Manager is a critical member of the marketing and engagement team at IFSA responsible for managing various marketing projects for the organization. Projects can include planning and managing the development of print or digital marketing materials for partners or students, supporting brand management activities, creating dashboards and reports to determine the effectiveness of our efforts, developing communication journeys for critical audiences, and managing budgets and deadlines, with a critical eye for continuous process improvement. Working collaboratively and cross-functionally, this position engages with all IFSA departments to ensure appropriate brand visuals and messaging are available for organizational needs.

In This Position, Your Responsibilities Would Include

  • Manage all marketing/promotional projects for the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business goals and objectives set by senior management
  • Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and partners
  • Ensure marketing activities and initiatives are delivered on time and on budget, and perform as expected
  • Monitor the marketing spend and ensure its effective allocation across marketing programs and channels
  • Prepare reports and presentations on marketing performance and strategies, using problem-solving skills to address weak areas of performance
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials and content for new and existing products and services (print and digital)
  • Create print and digital materials using tools such as photoshop, marq , canva as needed
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics and KPIs to measure campaign effectiveness
  • Support market research and help analyze consumer behavior and industry trends to develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns and strategies (across various marketing channels)
  • Support application of IFSA brand attributes, messaging and guidelines
  • Collaborate with the sales (institutional relations) team to support lead generation and conversion skills, as well as the product marketing manager for optimal product development and advertising
  • Prioritize continuous improvement by monitoring competitor activities, adjusting marketing strategies, and engaging with customers for feedback
  • Attend as needed industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities to foster positive relationships with media outlets, influencers, and potential clients
  • Other projects and responsibilities, as assigned

Requirements, Work Experience And Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a marketing concentration
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications or a digital marketing field
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Notion, Asana) and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Meet)
  • Experience writing and editing
  • Capability and experience in creating content for a variety of audiences, especially among international educators
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and with multiple stakeholders from diverse communities and cultures
  • Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign), LucidPress and Photoshelter required.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and solutions-finding mindset.
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task and maintain a strong attention to detail.
  • Creative, flexible and collaborative.
  • Knowledge of post-secondary student recruitment trends and challenges preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with study abroad program logistics (e.g., visa processes, academic credit transfer) preferred, but not required
  • A genuine and enthusiastic connection to our mission and commitments
  • Existing work authorization for the USA; physically located within the USA
