One of our clients a Retail Multinational company is looking for a Marketing Director.

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Prior experience in Duty Free Marketing mandatory.

Position focused on duty free marketing and animations, but also overseeing foodservice and other retail marketing, data analytics, external communication (incl. CSR) and social media

Job Profile:

  • Collaborate with the commercial and operations teams to develop targeted promotions and events that drives traffic and sales
  • Manage creative agencies and brand partners to ensure high-quality marketing assets are delivered on time and on budget
  • Analyze sales data and marketing & promotion campaign results to build up customer knowledge and recommend improvements based on data-driven insights
  • Stay abreast of industry and local market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in travel retail and digital marketing
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, store operations, and inventory teams, to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives
  • Manage external communication including relationships with airport partners’ marketing teams and trade/local press


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a travel retail environment
  • Strong track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive sales growth
  • Experienced in managing digital marketing channels, including website, social media, online advertising, email marketing, and SEO/SEM
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns
  • Strong English skills, written and spoken – ability to articulate and present complex information and recommendations to senior management and shareholders
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, retail environment
  • Creative thinker with a passion for retail and customer experience
  • Strong skills with Excel and PowerPoint
