Marine Upholstery Supervisor – Dubai, UAE

Minimum of 5 years of experience within Marine-related seat upholstery works, responsible for overseeing, managing, and job execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in Cushion and sofa works, boat cover, canopy, and Bimini top stitching, removing and re-fixing of seats, canopy, and covers onboard.
• Site Visits & Inspections: Able to do o the site visits as needed and assist the estimation team – in preparing the material list, and estimating the work hours for each project
• Upholstery Production Oversight: Execute manage and coordinate all aspects of the marine upholstery production process. This includes overseeing the cutting, sewing, and installation of various upholstery materials such as fabrics, vinyl, foam, and leather for boats, yachts, and other marine vessels.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all upholstery products meet the company’s quality standards and adhere to industry regulations.
• Team Management: Lead and manage a team of upholsterers and assistants. Assign tasks, set performance expectations, provide training, and offer guidance to improve the team’s skills and efficiency.
• Resource Management: Manage the inventory of upholstery materials and tools, ensuring an adequate supply is maintained for smooth operations. Coordinate with the procurement department to order materials as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote adherence to safety guidelines and best practices within the upholstery department. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
• Client Communication: Interact with clients and project stakeholders to understand their upholstery requirements and address any concerns or inquiries. Provide updates on the progress of upholstery tasks as needed.
• Upholstery Design and Customization: Collaborate with designers and clients to create customized marine upholstery solutions that meet their unique preferences and requirements.

• Proven experience in marine upholstery or a related field, with a track record of successful projects and quality workmanship.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
