Hiring Marine Coordinator

Location: Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee vessel movements, ensuring timely departure and arrival schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with vessel captains, chief engineers, and clients regarding operational requirements.
  • Experience in handling crew members, general repairs and maintenance of marine engines, generators, and other essential equipment.
  • Arrange and coordinate with authorities, third-party inspectors, and government entities for vessel certifications, registrations, and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout all operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vessel movements, certifications, and inspections.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents, implementing effective solutions to minimize disruption.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding vessel status, operational issues, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in marine operations, including handling crew and overseeing general repair of marine engines and generators.
  • Familiarity with class certification processes (Vessel Document) and vessel registration/renewal with Federal Transport Authorities and other government entities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
