What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role
The Logistics Analyst acts as an important support arm to the global sales team and works closely with various cross-functional departments to coordinate a dynamic supply chain environment. Additional duties include processing information using various software systems, preparing export documentation, proactive communication, managing database records and basic reporting on sales and customer service issues.
- Create shipping schedules based on vessel availability, customer demand, quality control reports, and production schedules
- Respond to inquiries from both internal and external customers regarding pre‐shipment samples, damaged goods, product replacement, and shipment updates
- Coordinate all pre‐shipment activities, including: creating sales orders, allocating product, creating invoices, obtaining certificates and finalizing packing lists
- Ensure all documents, certificates, letter of credit etc. required for shipment of product are compliant with all export regulations
- Investigate or follow-up on customer complaints and any order discrepancies reported
- Coordinate activities of internal and external supply chain and customers to ensure shipments of products are conducted in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare various reports to fulfill business needs, such as, track product shipments, customer satisfaction, order fulfillment, and inventory levels
- Issue credit/debit memos to Accounting as needed. Work with Accounting to reconcile any invoice discrepancies, follow up with accounts receivables to ensure timely payments
- Collect all relevant POD & lumpers
- Attend scheduled meetings, coordinate agenda and record minutes
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 1-3 years’ experience in logistics, sales, customer service or closely related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in supply chain/logistics or related industry experience
- Excel – Proficient with formulas, pivot tables and charts
- PowerPoint – Basic presentation skills
Required Skills And Abilities
- Experience in exporting goods in the Manufacturing or Food Service industry
- Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Basic skill in Word and other Microsoft Office products.
- Takes initiative and is proactive. Work with minimum supervision
- Must be detail oriented, accurate and is proficient with data entry skills
- Possess logical problem-solving skills, analysis and strategic thinking abilities
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple customers and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a dynamic, multi‐task environment
- Experience with managing documents and data in networked environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
