Hiring Linux System Administrator (Infrastructure Team)

 Location: Dubai

Are you an expert in managing Linux systems and passionate about maintaining robust IT infrastructures? Join our dynamic Infrastructure team as a Linux System Administrator and contribute to our mission-critical operations!

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and servers.
• Manage system performance, tuning, and monitoring to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation of routine tasks and system management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various IT initiatives and projects.
• Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery processes are in place and functioning correctly.
• Implement and manage security policies and procedures to safeguard the infrastructure.
• Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Xen.
• Proficiency in using configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Certifications:

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• CompTIA Linux+
• Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (preferred but not required)
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) (preferred but not required)
