Hiring Legal Head (UAE National)
Job Requirements:
- Must be an UAE national.
- Law Degree and ideally with an international Masters and legal admission.
- Certifications in intellectual property rights, contracting, corporate governance and related legal areas is desirable
- 10 years of related experience in corporate legal teams
- Proven background in corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws)
- Excellent negotiation and communications skills
- Current license to practice law
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
- Liaise with judicial machinery and governmental agencies to safeguard company interest on legal matters in countries of operations
- Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practices throughout the company.
- Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as external counsel or auditors.
- Responsible for end-to-end execution of contracts (from drafting to review of contracts) for engaging the services of third party agency (labor contract, security contract, leasing contract, etc.)
- Act as Custodian of documentation pertaining to commercial agreements, business contracts, memorandum of understanding, etc.
- Understand amendments in company law and assess its implications on company as a group or its subsidiaries
- Manage corporate events such as incorporation of companies and handle liquidation issues as and when needed
- Represent organization in courts on matters of high importance or critical cases in UAE and GCC countries
- Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
- Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
