Description:

We are looking for a Lab Technician for a rail project in Dubai.

Requirements:

To collect samples of construction materials from site & various sources in UAE.
To coordinate testing in adherence to applicable standards & project specifications.
To record the quantity of materials delivered to site & ensure the testing is maintained as per the specified frequencies through logging.
Should be able qualitative monitoring of concrete pouring, asphalt & other pavements operations at site.
Should be able to conduct & guide testing at site for various materials including soils, concrete, asphalts & grouts.
Should be able to do laboratory testing, mathematical calculations & reporting of compliance/non-compliance to the supervisor/manager.
To sample submission to 3rd party labs, follow up & timely collection of test reports, review & forward to the supervisor with comments.
To manage site laboratory, confirm attendance & to record activities of 3rd party technicians/labor & to provide duly attested monthly timesheets to the supervisor.
To ensure proper curing & transportation of concrete samples in site laboratory.
To ensure proper storage & transportation of all construction materials in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, local authority regulations & applicable standards.
To ensure satisfactory housekeeping, maintenance & operations of site laboratory.
To inspect the operations of asphalt & concrete batching plants, checks equipment, weightages, calibration, temperatures & materials for compliance with project specs & relevant standards.
To prepare a variety of technical reports/logs on laboratory test results, files & maintain laboratory records.
To ensure proper coordination, reporting & forecasting of critical events to the Materials & Lab Manager.
