Key Account Specialist
This position works out of our UAE location (Abu Dhabi and Al Ain area) in Abbott Diabetes Care Division
Primary Objective
Prepare the market for the uptake of new technologies and up-to-date glucose monitoring systems through establishment of multidisciplinary stakeholder’s development programs, lead the formulary enlisting process ending up by generating a solid demand channels.
What You’ll Do
- Develop a strategic account based business program, identify priorities and execute the program tactical elements to ensure the product occupancy to the prepositioned channel in an appropriate time.
- Develop and maintain rapport with Key opinion leaders, maintain close relationships with key accounts, and ensure their requirements are being met by the company’s products where possible.
- Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, key customers, industry associations, and government representatives to achieve the objectives of the division. Develop and maintain rapport with Key opinion leaders in the marketplace to identify trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities. Monitor the competitive situation.
- Team player with proven ability to work across different cultures
- Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image, ensuring activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
- Abide by Abbott’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics regulation as well as the industry law and local law.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary Qualifications in medical sciences is a must.
- 3-4 years’ experience in sales of medical devices managing key accounts
- Experience in B2C model
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
