Junior Penetration Tester
Job Description:
Conducts application and network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Perform vulnerability analysis of applications, operating systems, or networks. Identifies intrusion or incident path and method. Develop and use malware, pivoting, and escalating privileges to test the organization’s security effectiveness
Required Skills:
- Experience in penetration testing enterprise networks using standard penetration tools (Metasploit, Nmap, Nessus, Burp Suite, Cobalt Strike, etc.)
- Experience with utilizing penetration testing methodologies
- Experience with applications, databases, operating systems, and network devices
- Understanding of threat attacks, exploitation, and data exfiltration
- Perform information technology security research to remain current on emerging technology trends and develop exploits for disclosed and undisclosed vulnerabilities
- Experience with SIEM technologies (such as NetWitness, and Splunk)
- Experience with packet analysis to include: HTTP Headers & Status codes, SMTP Traffic & Status codes, FTP Traffic & Status Codes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and physical locations
- Required Certifications: Possess one or more of the following certifications:
- CEH, PenTest+, CPT, GPEN
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in electronics & Electrical engineering, Electronics & communication engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. Candidates must also have at least 1+ year experience or equivalent education and experience
