Hiring Junior Accountant

Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant/Accountant to join the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and administrative tasks, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this role will involve handling accounting duties and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure accurate recording of all business transactions of entities
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices promptly.
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
• Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Review expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned.
• Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability.
• Assist in VAT filing and corporate tax filing.
• Assist with year-end audit preparations.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist senior accountants in monthly/yearly closings.
• Assist with other accounting projects as needed
• Manage petty cash.
• Handle other minor admin tasks as needed.

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven experience as a junior accountant (minimum 3 years of UAE experience required).
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical acumen and proficiency with numbers and figures.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Familiarity with MS Office and relevant accounting software.
• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA partially qualified / BSc/Ba in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
