Description:

Hiring Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded timely
• Provide ad hoc reports as and when required
• Assist in month end activities
• Maintain confidentiality of all finance data at all times
• Recording Intercompany clearing documents, Employee deduction lists, commissions & accruals/prepayments
• Fixed & Rental assets capitalization / disposals
• Preparing cash & bank transaction entries & month end reconciliation statements.
• Reviewing invoice documents (such as agreements, LPO’s, delivery notes etc.) for completeness & accuracy.
• Following up with customer for overdue receivables & summarizing feedback
• Booking cash/cheque receipts and matching them with receivables
• Reviewing customers for credit checks & validation of gate pass documents
• Recording vendor purchase invoices & processing payments
• Payables monitoring & reconciliation of supplier accounts

Requirements

• Excellent organizing abilities & attention to details
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of stakeholders
• Strong understanding of Accounting principles
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications especially MS Excel & familiarity with accounting systems
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (preferably ACCA/CMA qualified)
• Between 3-5 years of experience
• Candidate should be available in UAE
• Knowledge of UAE VAT law and corporation tax
